The Finnacle Story

The financial specialists who founded Finnacle realized after working in the corporate world that there is a lack of real financial support for motivated young professionals beyond single-service mortgage brokers and expensive financial planners.

We know from our own experiences that money matters can be overwhelming. It is all too easy to end up wondering where all your cash went, even when you’re making decent income.

With this in mind, we created a low-cost way for professionals aged 20-45 to access the advice they need to get on top of their finances, reduce debts, nail savings goals, purchase their first (or next home), start investing and more.

Daniel Thompson

Partner & Financial Adviser

Having grown up and lived in different parts of Australia, from the bush to the city, I found that one thing that was common to many: financial problems. I decided that I wanted to help and educate people in this area to alleviate as much of these stresses as possible, and I am lucky that finance is an area that I understand well.

Financial Planning has undergone huge changes recently and will continue to evolve, and I enjoy being at the forefront of this. Life can be complex, while at the same time there have never been as many opportunities as we have now. My aim is to help people achieve financial freedom, however they define it. It might be finishing work at 55 and spending time fishing and with the kids, it might be starting your own business or volunteering overseas knowing that you have financial support in place for the rest of your life.

Outside of work I have my hands full with our 2-year-old daughter and the exhausting joy that she brings! I’m a huge Essendon Bombers fan and drove across the Nullarbor from Perth to Essendon after University to live near Windy Hill to be closer to the action, although we’ve had a few lean years since then!

After Co-Founding Finnacle to provide financial advice for young families, I realised that inorder to provide a truly holistic support & guidance, I need to specialise in helping clients navigate the homeloan maze.

As a result I completed further studies to become a qualified mortgage broker. Following this, we now have access to over 40+ lenders, to assist our client with getting the right homeloan solutions.

Nojan Rahimi

Mortgage Broker @ Blutin Finance

Nojan has more than 20 years of experience working in Corporate and small business with the last 7 years in Finance Industry with ANZ as Financial Planner and Business Lender.

Nojan has an in-depth understanding of customers’ banking and lending needs having managed a portfolio of $160 million in Deposit Fund Under Management and $96 million in Lending FUM.

He kept coming across customers who were getting advice from professional people looking at only part of their financial needs. He wants to now combine the knowledge of Financial Planning together with Business Lending to help customers achieve their financial goals.

When he’s not working, he loves to spend time with his wife and two daughters.

Mitchell Johnston

Mitchell loved to be outdoors, playing cricket in summer, footy in winter and, being the son of a golf pro, always expected that whatever he grew up to be would be sport related. I’m a father of two beautiful little girls, the walker and feeder of a noisy King Charles Spaniel and husband to an amazing wife.

Mitchell is a mortgage broker & financial adviser who thinks financial planning should be about more than just superannuation, insurance and retirement. He offers Mortgage service to clients, where he believes that the challenges we face and overcome as a family every day are the same type of challenges the people he works with are facing; we’ve got big dreams for the future, a need for a decent lifestyle now and it’s a challenge to balance it all out with the time we have!

Mitchell kick started the Welcome Home Financial Group with the idea that financial planning shouldn’t just be about giving something up today to have a comfortable retirement. He believes there is a lot to see and do on the way there as well!

Jonah is part of Finnacle’s Design, Strategy and Marketing team. He has 13+ years of Banking and Finance background with core operations as speciality in internationl banks such as Bank of America etc.

Jonah coordinates internal operations and also designs marketing communications from Finnacle

He is a creative genius specializing in making brand concepts and unique campaigns with a twist of Finnacle flavour.

Jonah is a movie buff. Enjoys music of all genres and loves photography & travel.

Kathleen Gabrillo

Member Support Specialist

After an extended hiatus to raise my family, I finally decided to resume my professional career on a full-time basis. I am hardworking, highly motivated, and goal-oriented individual with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.

With over 10years of proven track-record in Customer Service, Financial Management, Office Administration and Retail Banking. I inherently understand that our Clients are the single most valuable asset an organization can have and is driven by the unrelenting pursuit of customer focus, ideals, and experience.

During days off, I am a dedicated and hands-on mom to my kids. I love to prepare their favorite dish, spend quality time with them by watching movies and playing volleyball and badminton. My kids are my greatest gifts and inspiration to wake up every day and the energy of my soul.

Patricia Srinivasan

Senior Admin & Support (Home loans)

I’ve been in the banking and finance for 25 years, out of which 23 years was with NAB, as a home lender & branch manager.

I have a keen passion to help first home buyers and those wanting to purchase commercial properties. As a part of team Finnacle, I help manage the processing of loans & administrative tasks. My role requires me to communicate with Financial Institutions on a regular basis and deliver positive client outcomes.

In my free time, I love to catch up with my 2 beautiful children. I’m a huge supporter of the bombers and also love spending time with my grandoggy Teddy. (Oh and I love to shop!)

Gurjeet Matharu

Senior Loan Processor

Balancing work and family is extremely important to me. After my third child, I realized working a traditional part-time job was no longer suitable for me and my family. I want to be there for all the special parenting moments and continue to do the job that I love. 

So I took a leap of faith and resigned my job and started GM Loan Processing. 

By providing brokers & Clients exceptional service from application submission to settlement, they have the confidence and peace of mind of handing the responsibility of the client journey to me. This in turn allows them to prioritize their time and do what they do best – helping their clients with their financial goals.
